Peripherial Devices and Equipment in the lab
This menu provides information about all the Peripherals and Equipment that can be attached to the DE1-SoC board in the DESL lab.
Lego :
Refers to the lego controller
This menu contains information about how to connect the lego controller to the DE1-SoC development board. There is a manual which gives details about how to program the lego controller with the NIOS microprocessor.
There are also sample programs that you can look at to get you started.
Finally there are videos of projects that students have done in the past.
Scope :
Refers to the Agilent MSO-3024A mixed signal oscilloscope.
There is a scope at each station in the DESL lab for a total of 104 scopes. This menu gives you a detailed tutorial on how to use the scope as well as tutorials to do some signal analysis on the development board.
In the Test menu you will find MSO_tutorial.sof. Download this program when running the tutorial for the scope.
IP Core :
This is a link to the Altera web site. Specifically the Intellectual Property Cores. This gives a detailed descripton of all the intelligent cores that are available when using Quartus
Pinouts :
This link gives pinouts for the following;
The pin assignment for the 40 pin header on the Dgital Switch

Breakdown of the colour code painted on top of TTL chip and what chip it represents.
Test :
Refers to several test programs that can be downloaded to the development baord to test peripherals and equipment
There is a test program to test the HEX Keypad.
